The course can include any or all of the following. Progress will depend on length of study and the student's Spanish proficiency when beginning the course:

1. Industry specific vocabulary and dialog
2. Making appointments in Spanish
3. Making introductions in Spanish
4. Writing business letters in Spanish
5. Reading Spanish business documents
6. Negotiating & selling in Spanish
7. Giving a speech or presentation in Spanish
8. Understanding customs in Latin America

Course Goals:

1. Produce Spanish correctly
2. Pronounce Spanish in an understandable form
3. Comprehend Spanish speakers
4. Understand cultural differences and relations so they benefit your business development

Optional Course Credit: 1-6 university semester credits can be earned, course syllabus can be provided upon request. Instituto Chac-Mool is fully accredited by the Mexican Ministry of Education as a higher education institution. Please request the transcript while at the school (a mailing fee will be charged).

8:50 to 11:55 am: The student begins the day by studying in our regular group Spanish program in order to develop Spanish conversational, reading, and writing skills (all Spanish levels are available - group placement is determined by testing before beginning the program).

12:20 to 1:50 pm: The student works one-on-one with their instructor to cover the business Spanish that is desired to reach their objectives. This course can also cover important cultural aspects in the relations between the Latin and non-Latin associate. Note: summer month students may be required to begin this private portion at 2:00 pm.

Complete Weekly Tuition Rate: $350 (summer months $380). Rate includes BOTH the group and private lessons.

Instituto Chac-Mool offers a rich extra-curricular program to all students. This program includes Mexican history and culture classes, and Medical Spanish students are welcome to attend various lectures, excursions and activities, as time permits.
