California Lutheran University (CLU), in cooperation with Instituto Chac-Mool (ICM), can now grant:

This credit will be available to individuals whether they live in California or not. This must be arranged with CLU in advance of your studies at Instituto Chac-Mool, contact information will be provided by our representative.
The cost per semester unit of credit is $80 either for Professional Development credit (CPE’s) or for Continuing Education Units (CEU’s). This fee is in addition to Instituto Chac-Mool course fees.
California Lutheran University will grant one CPE unit for each week (25 hours) of instruction at Instituto Chac Mool and two units of CEU’s will be granted for each week (25 hours) of instruction. Instruction may be group or private one-on-one classes.

All requests for paperwork and fees required by California Lutheran University (CLU) will be handled through Cliff Rodrigues at . All paperwork and fees MUST be submitted to Cliff PRIOR to a student's stay in Mexico. Cliff will receive the attendance roster from Instituto Chac-Mool once the student finishes their course, and he will forward that information to CLU for processing. Students will then be able to request their CLU transcripts electronically.
Note: Prior to registering for these credits, please ensure that California Lutheran University credit is acceptable to your home institution.

For CPEs - You will be taking Professional Development course number EDUC 733D offered for 1-4 semester units of credit. These courses are designed to meet professional needs and to update and expand professional knowledge and skill. Credit is available only to educators who have earned at least a Bachelor's degree. These Professional Growth Units for educators are based on 15 contact hours. Outside assignments may be assigned at the discretion of the instructor as partial waiver of these 15 hours. Credit is not applicable toward a degree. You may take Course number EDUC 733D for credit only once. All teachers are advised to consult their school district salary allocation departments and/or union bargaining agreements for semester unit and workload salary point equivalencies prior to registering for CLU education courses for credit. These equivalencies vary by school district. CLU offers a Professional Education Semester Credit, which carries a workload of 15 contact hours per semester credit, with outside assignments assigned at the discretion of the instructor.
For CEUs - You will be taking course number Spanish 915A for 2-8 credits. Continuing Education Units (CEU's) are nationally recognized, standard units of measurement that provide a record of a person's continuing and/or professional development. CEU's are awarded according to the guidelines and criteria set by the Council on the Continuing Education. The CEU is a means of recording non-credit, post-secondary level study. A CEU is based on 10 contact hours of satisfactory participation in an organized continuing education program. These courses are not designed for application toward a degree or credential, but rather a means of recording non-credit course work.
